Slept well under my tarp during the trip. I actually brought along the zero degree sleeping bag, but it was not needed. Even the four season pad proved overkill for the excellent weather we ran across. I have become a firm believer in tarps, having pitched them in various conditions. Now blowing snow would suck, or high winds period, but so far I have been fortunate. I think the craziest thing about my tarps location this trip was that warm air from the fire was actually getting trapped under the tarp.
